Hikoki SDS+ chase cutter 22 x 250 mm with limiters, model 751133
Hikoki SDS+ chase cutter 22 x 250 mm with limiters, model 751133 is a purpose-built masonry bit for creating clean chases and grooves in concrete, brick and block. The bit features a 22 mm cutting diameter and 250 mm overall length, combined with an SDS+ shank for secure, vibration-resistant connection to SDS+ rotary hammers. Integrated limiters allow controlled cutting depth to help produce consistent grooves for electrical conduit, plumbing or preparatory embedment work.
The chase cutter provides reliable material removal in masonry with a robust carbide cutting head designed for impact drilling and chiselling action. The SDS+ shank ensures fast bit changes and stable engagement with compatible rotary hammers. Built-in limiters reduce the need for repeated depth checks, improving workflow accuracy when forming channels for cables, pipes or ducts. Its 250 mm length reaches deeper work areas while the 22 mm diameter balances material clearance and structural integrity of the remaining wall.
Fit the Hikoki SDS+ chase cutter into an SDS+ rotary hammer and ensure the tool and bit are securely engaged. Mark the intended chase path and set the limiters to the required depth before starting. Use the rotary hammer in the recommended rotary or hammer mode for chasing, applying steady forward pressure while guiding the bit along the marked line. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust and check progress. When the chase is complete, finish edges with a chisel or grinder if needed.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection, hearing protection and a dust mask or extraction. Select a rotary hammer with compatible SDS+ chuck and sufficient impact energy for masonry work. Avoid excessive side pressure on the bit to prevent premature wear; allow the tool to perform the cutting. For deeper or wider channels, perform multiple passes and adjust limiters incrementally.
