Pneumatic Riveter Hikoki SATRA S-HR103 – 1/4" Rivet Capacity, Air-Powered Tool
Hikoki SATRA S-HR103 is a pneumatic riveter engineered for the fast and consistent installation of 1/4" blind rivets. The air-powered mechanism delivers a steady pulling force that produces durable joints in steel, aluminium and other sheet materials. Its compact handheld design and straightforward operation make it suitable for industrial assembly lines, repair shops and maintenance tasks that require frequent, repetitive riveting.
The tool provides reliable, repeatable rivet installation through pneumatic actuation, reducing operator fatigue compared with manual riveters. Compact size and balanced ergonomics enable access to confined areas and prolonged handheld use. The design supports a steady cycle time for production or workshop environments, and the air-powered drive ensures consistent force across multiple rivets for uniform joint quality.
This pneumatic riveter requires a compressed air supply and appropriate fittings; it is not suitable for use where no air compressor is available. It is designed for blind rivets up to 1/4" diameter and therefore will not accept larger fasteners or specialty rivet types outside that range. For one-off or infrequent riveting in locations without power or compressed air, a manual or battery-powered riveter may be more appropriate.
Connect the riveter to a compatible compressed air source using the correct hose and fittings, and set the air pressure according to the manufacturer's recommended range for the rivet material and size. Insert a 1/4" blind rivet into the nosepiece, position the rivet through the workpieces, and actuate the tool to pull the mandrel and form the blind head. After the mandrel breaks, remove the spent mandrel and repeat the process. Follow standard safety practices: secure workpieces, wear eye protection, and ensure fittings and hoses are in good condition.
To maintain consistent performance, use clean, dry compressed air and follow a routine maintenance schedule that includes inspection of the nosepiece, jaws and seals. Match rivet material and length to the combined thickness of workpieces and perform a few test rivets to verify air pressure and stroke settings before full production.
