DVR Hikvision Pro Series 8‑ch 5 MP 1U H.265 AcuSense, 8 video inputs, up to 12 TB HDD, 12 V DC, black
Hikvision Pro Series 8‑ch 5 MP 1U H.265 AcuSense DVR is a rackable digital video recorder designed for small to medium surveillance installations. The unit records up to 5 MP video from eight analog or compatible inputs using efficient H.265/H.264 compression and includes AcuSense analytics for deep‑learning based human and vehicle detection. Built for continuous operation, it supports one or more SATA hard drives with combined capacity up to 12 TB, Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and common network protocols including TCP/IP, DHCP, DDNS and Hik‑Connect.
This DVR combines AcuSense intelligent detection with H.265 compression to reduce false alarms and optimize storage usage. The compact 1U rackable form factor and low typical power consumption make it suitable for server cabinets and constrained installations. ONVIF compatibility and multiple USB ports, including two USB 3.2 Type‑A ports, simplify integration, backup and system expansion. The device supports up to 64 user accounts for multi‑user access and remote monitoring.
Install the DVR in a standard 19" rack or place it on a shelf in a controlled environment. Fit one or more compatible SATA hard drives (up to 12 TB total) and connect cameras to the eight video inputs. Connect the LAN port to your network, configure IP settings via DHCP or static IP, and enable Hik‑Connect or DDNS for remote access if required. Use the web interface, desktop client or local HDMI/VGA output to complete camera setup, schedule recordings and configure AcuSense parameters for human and vehicle detection.
For reliable detection and optimal storage use H.265 compression with appropriate resolution settings (up to 5 MP) and enable AcuSense filters to reduce false positives. Regularly check HDD health and maintain firmware updates. Ensure the DVR is installed in a ventilated, dust‑free rack space and use UPS protection for clean power to avoid recording interruptions.
