IP security camera Hikvision DS-2CD3146G2-ISU(4MM)(H)(eF) Dome
The Hikvision Ultra Series DS-2CD3146G2-ISU(4MM)(H)(eF) Dome is an IP security camera engineered for indoor and outdoor surveillance applications. It captures video at a resolution of 2688 x 1520 pixels using a CMOS sensor and delivers smooth footage at up to 30 fps. The camera supports wired Ethernet connectivity, ceiling mounting, and provides a horizontal field of view of approximately 84° with a wide 355° rotation range for broad scene coverage. Its detection capability reaches up to 77 m, and the product is finished in white to suit common installation environments.
This dome camera combines high-resolution imaging with a compact design suitable for ceiling installation. The wired Ethernet connection provides stable network throughput for continuous monitoring. Video motion detection is built in to support event-driven recording and alerting. With support for both indoor and outdoor placement and a robust rotation range, the camera can cover large areas with fewer units, simplifying system design and reducing installation complexity.
Install the camera on a ceiling or suitable overhead surface using the recommended mounting hardware and ensure the unit is positioned to cover the intended area. Connect the camera to your network via Ethernet and configure network and recording settings using compatible Hikvision management software or a network video recorder that supports ONVIF and Hikvision devices. Adjust the lens angle and rotation to optimise the field of view and configure motion detection zones and sensitivity to match the environment. Verify image quality and detection performance during daytime and low-light conditions if applicable.
For reliable operation, install the camera in compliance with local weather protection and power sourcing practices for outdoor placement. Use secured network configurations, keep firmware up to date, and plan camera placement to avoid direct exposure to strong light sources that can affect image quality. When covering wide areas, set motion detection zones to reduce false positives and schedule regular checks of recorded footage and device status.
