IP security camera Hikvision Pro Series DS-2CD2T46G2H-2I(2.8mm)(eF)/BLACK
The Hikvision Pro Series DS-2CD2T46G2H-2I(2.8mm)(eF)/BLACK is an outdoor IP security camera designed for wired surveillance installations. It delivers 2688 x 1520 pixel resolution from a CMOS sensor and comes in a bullet form factor with a 2.8 mm lens that provides a horizontal field of view of 100.2° and a vertical field of view of 54.7°. The camera supports ceiling or wall mounting, offers 360° rotation for flexible orientation, and is available in black and white finishes. AcuSense deep learning-based classification improves alarm accuracy by distinguishing human and vehicle targets at the device level.
The camera provides high-resolution video capture at up to 30 fps for clear image detail and smooth motion. Its AcuSense human and vehicle classification reduces false alarms and focuses notifications on relevant events. With wired Ethernet connectivity and outdoor placement support, the model is suited to fixed surveillance points where stable network connection and environmental protection are required. A detection range of up to 63 m and recognition range of approximately 12 m allow reliable monitoring of medium-distance perimeters.
Install the camera on a stable ceiling or wall surface using the appropriate mounting hardware and ensure the unit is oriented to cover the intended field of view. Connect the device to a wired Ethernet network for power and data if using PoE, or follow the manufacturer's recommended power supply method. Configure the camera through Hikvision's management software or compatible NVR to set video resolution, frame rate, detection zones and AcuSense classification settings. Perform initial focus check and fine-tune the 360° rotation so that the 2.8 mm lens captures the required area.
For optimal results, place the camera at a height and angle that keeps human and vehicle subjects within the specified recognition distance (about 12 m) for identification tasks, and within the detection range for motion alerts. Use wired Ethernet with PoE where possible to ensure reliable power and network connectivity. Periodically check firmware updates and calibrate detection zones to reduce false alarms and maintain classification accuracy.
