Network Video Recorder Hikvision DS-7616NI-I2/16P
The Network Video Recorder Hikvision DS-7616NI-I2/16P is a 1U rack-mount NVR that supports up to 16 video channels with a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. It includes a SATA HDD interface with up to 8 TB storage capacity, a single Gigabit Ethernet port and compact 1U form factor designed for small to medium surveillance installations.
This Hikvision NVR uses optimized H.265+ and H.264+ compression to reduce bandwidth and storage needs while maintaining image quality. It offers a low typical power consumption of 15 W and broad AC input compatibility (100–240 V), and provides standard connectivity with USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 ports plus an RJ-45 Ethernet port. The 1U size and 3 kg weight make it suitable for rack-mounted or space-constrained setups.
This unit supports up to 16 channels and an internal SATA HDD; larger deployments requiring more channels, higher internal storage, or multi-unit redundancy may need a higher-capacity NVR or a server-based solution. It has a single Ethernet port, so installations requiring multiple dedicated network interfaces or advanced network segregation may require additional network hardware.
Install the NVR in a standard 19-inch rack or on a suitable shelf. Fit a compatible SATA HDD up to the supported capacity, connect IP cameras to the same network and configure camera channels via the NVR web interface or client software. Use the RJ-45 Ethernet port for network connectivity and connect a monitor, mouse and USB storage device to the available USB ports for local management and backup. Configure recording, motion detection and retention settings according to site requirements.
For reliable operation, use a quality SATA HDD rated for surveillance use, place the NVR in a ventilated rack space, and ensure firmware is up to date. Plan network bandwidth when using multiple 4K streams and configure optimized H.265+ compression to balance image quality and storage.
RAIDThe RAID function ensures that data stored on functioning hard drives can still be played back. Hikvision NVRs
Dual Stream RecordingDual-stream recording ensures high-quality streaming for local playback and lower-quality streaming for remote playback to allow for different network conditions.
Channel ZeroWith the channel-zero function, users can view up to 16 cameras connected to an NVR but only use one channel’s worth of bandwidth. This function helps to ensure fluid video for remote users.
Multiple Stream TypesHikvision NVRs automatically adapt to multiple code streams types, making them compatible with several kinds of cameras. Taking 1080p cameras for example, as below.
Multi-Video OutputSynchronous Outputs: The same channel displays at multiple locations simultaneously Independent Outputs: Multiple outputs can display various channels independently, enabling users to view multiple channels at the same time and save their time.
Dual SystemsOur NVRs have two copies of the OS system in the flash memory, so if one of them fails, the redundant firmware will operate in its place.
N+1 Hot SpareWhen NVR X breaks down, the standby NVR will take over for it to keep the system operating continuously. When the network recovers, recorded video transfers back to NVR X (the standby NVR can only take over one offline device at a time) .*n≤16
Automatic Network ReplenishmentIf the network goes down, video recording will move to the on-board SD card in the IP camera. Upon network recovery, recorded video will return back to the NVR.
New GUIThe newly released GUI features a more concise design.
Auto ConnectionThree steps get users up and running with live view with no need to configure your IP.
Easy PlaybackHikvision NVRs support several smart playback modes:
No Web Plugin Required- No web plugin required for live viewing or configuration
Multi-Device AccessUsers can manage an NVR through various channels and the alarm information will be pushed to each one.
Multilevel PermissionsEach user can be assigned any access level. Management of multiple users can be employed to ensure device and information security. The default user “Admin” is the administrator. This user has the highest privilege set and can decide the other two levels
Double Verification Permission for Non-Admin UsersAfter double verification is enabled in the channel, a non-admin user must be verified by an authorized user to be granted permission. Only admin has the authorization to set double verification.
Human and Vehicle ClassificationBased on a deep learning algorithm, the DeepinMind Series & AcuSense Series support video analysis for human and vehicle recognition to reduce false alarms.
Facial RecognitionBased on a deep learning algorithm, the DeepinMind NVR/NVS supports powerful face capture, modeling and comparison.
