Network Video Recorder Hikvision DS-7632NXI-K2, 32-channel, 4K, 1U, SATA, 10 TB max, Black
Hikvision DS-7632NXI-K2 is a 32-channel network video recorder in a 1U rack-mount form factor designed for centralized IP camera recording, surveillance storage and multi-channel playback. It accepts up to 4K (3840×2160) input resolution, provides simultaneous HDMI and VGA outputs with HDMI output supporting up to 4K, and supports H.265+ compression to reduce storage usage. The recorder includes a single Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB 2.0 ports and SATA HDD interfaces for internal storage expansion up to 10 TB per drive, delivering a compact and industry-standard solution for SMB and enterprise rack deployments.
The DS-7632NXI-K2 combines 32-channel recording capacity with smart analytics such as Motion Detection 2.0, facial recognition (single-channel for video stream or four-channel for face pictures) and smart search and playback to speed up evidence retrieval. H.265+ video compression and TLS-based stream encryption improve storage efficiency and transmission security. Dual video outputs and 16-channel synchronous playback enable convenient live monitoring and review in control rooms or server racks.
Install the recorder into a standard 1U rack position and connect IP cameras to the same network via a switch or directly to PoE-enabled network infrastructure. Fit up to two SATA hard drives for local recording storage and connect a monitor to the HDMI or VGA output for live viewing and configuration. Use the web interface, local GUI or Hik-Connect for initial network setup, camera discovery, channel configuration and scheduling. Configure motion detection zones, facial recognition channels and recording modes according to site requirements, then test playback using the smart search and 16-channel synchronous playback features.
For reliable continuous recording, use enterprise-grade SATA HDDs rated for surveillance workloads and configure RAID or backup strategies where appropriate. Ensure the recorder firmware is kept up to date and enable stream encryption and secure network practices (firewall, VLAN segmentation, strong passwords) to protect recorded data and remote access. For optimal facial recognition performance, position cameras with clear frontal views and sufficient illumination.
