Hilark SIF2.50-R Silicone Insulated Stranded Copper Wire 2.5mm2 Red
The Hilark SIF2.50-R is a high-performance, heat-resistant stranded copper wire designed for demanding industrial environments. Featuring a 2.5mm2 cross-section and durable silicone insulation, this single-core cable provides exceptional flexibility and reliability. It is engineered to withstand extreme temperature fluctuations, maintaining its integrity in conditions ranging from -60°C to +180°C, while offering a rated voltage of 500V.
This cable stands out due to its robust construction using finely stranded tinned copper, which ensures excellent conductivity and mechanical durability. The silicone insulation is highly resistant to environmental stressors, including ozone, oxygen, alcohols, various acids, alkalis, and saline solutions. Furthermore, the cable is halogen-free and flame-retardant, making it a safer choice for installations where fire safety is a priority. Its ability to perform consistently in high-heat settings without degrading makes it a superior solution for heavy-duty industrial machinery and specialized manufacturing equipment.
This wire is not recommended for applications involving high mechanical stress or abrasion, as the silicone insulation is softer than standard PVC or rubber coatings. It should also not be used in closed, non-ventilated conduits when operating at temperatures exceeding 90°C, as this can compromise the long-term mechanical properties of the silicone material.
To use the Hilark SIF2.50-R, ensure the cable is stripped carefully to avoid damaging the fine copper strands. When connecting, use appropriate terminals suitable for stranded wire to ensure a secure electrical contact. The cable should be routed in a way that avoids sharp bends or constant mechanical friction, as the silicone jacket is designed primarily for thermal resistance rather than high-impact protection.
For optimal performance and longevity, always install this cable in open or well-ventilated duct systems. Avoid using it in airtight enclosures where temperatures consistently exceed 90°C to prevent premature aging of the insulation.
