Diamond needle file set HOGERT HT3B808 — 3x140 mm, 5 pieces
Set of diamond needle files HOGERT HT3B808 — 3x140 mm, 5 pieces is a compact kit of five slim diamond-coated files with a 3 mm cross-section and 140 mm overall length. The set is designed for precise material removal, shaping and finishing on hard and brittle surfaces such as metal, glass, ceramics, hard plastics and wood. Each file in the set has a fine diamond abrasive to provide controlled stock removal and consistent surface texture during detailed work and edge refinement.
The diamond coating ensures long-lasting abrasive performance and uniform cutting action across the file face, reducing clogging and wear compared with conventional files. The 3 mm cross-section and narrow profile allow access to tight spaces and fine contours while the 140 mm length offers a balance between reach and control. The set includes multiple shapes to cover a range of profiling needs without requiring frequent tool changes. Ergonomic handles or tangs provide secure grip for controlled manual filing and improved precision.
Select the file shape that matches the geometry of the area to be worked. Hold the file by the handle or tang with light, even pressure and move it in a controlled stroke along the workpiece, taking care to maintain the intended angle and avoid excessive force. For metals and hard materials, use steady, repeated strokes and periodically check the fit or finish. For brittle materials such as glass or ceramics, use very light strokes and support the workpiece to avoid chipping. Clean the diamond surface periodically with a brush or a specialized rubber cleaning stick to maintain cutting efficiency.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. Avoid applying sideways twisting forces that could damage the file or the workpiece. Store the files in a protective pouch or compartment to prevent the diamond surfaces from contacting each other or other tools, which can reduce abrasive life.
