Socket Bit 1/2" 32 mm, Honiton H1432, 6-point drive
Honiton H1432 is a 6-point socket bit with a 1/2" drive and a 32 mm hex profile, engineered for secure engagement with hexagonal fasteners. Intended for use with compatible 1/2" ratchets, torque wrenches and extension bars, this socket bit is suitable for repair, assembly and maintenance tasks across automotive, mechanical and light industrial environments. The compact design allows access in tighter spaces while providing the contact surface needed for transmitting higher torque without rounding fastener corners.
The 6-point configuration reduces the risk of slipping and rounding compared with multi-point sockets by concentrating contact on flat faces of the fastener. A standardized 1/2" drive ensures compatibility with common hand and power tool accessories. The 32 mm size covers a range of medium-to-large hex fasteners commonly found in vehicle and machinery assemblies. The socket’s robust construction provides durability for repeated use in workshop conditions.
Select the Honiton H1432 socket for the matching 32 mm hex fastener and attach it securely to a 1/2" drive ratchet, torque wrench or compatible power tool adapter. Ensure the socket seats fully on the fastener before applying torque. For tightening with a torque wrench, set the required torque value and apply steady force until the tool indicates the target torque. For loosening, apply controlled force to avoid sudden breakaway that could damage the fastener or tool. Inspect the socket and fastener engagement periodically during use.
Use the socket with tools rated for the intended torque range and avoid striking the socket with hammer blows. Keep contact surfaces clean and free of oil or debris to maintain secure engagement. Replace the socket if signs of wear, rounding or crack formation appear to ensure safe and effective operation.
