Socket bit (6-point) Honiton H1509 1/2" drive 9 mm long
Socket bit (6-point) Honiton H1509 1/2" drive 9 mm long
Honiton H1509 is a 6-point socket bit for 1/2" drive tools with a 9 mm internal size and an extended length. Designed for a secure fit on hex fasteners, this socket bit combines reach and torque transmission for repair, assembly and maintenance operations. It is compatible with standard 1/2" ratchets, breaker bars and impact adapters when those tools are rated for 1/2" drives.
The 6-point profile reduces rounding of hex fasteners by maximizing contact area with bolt heads and nuts. Its extended length improves access to recessed or hard-to-reach fasteners while maintaining the leverage and torque capability of a 1/2" drive. Manufactured to deliver consistent fit and alignment, the socket bit is suitable for repeated use in workshop and field environments.
Select a 1/2" drive tool compatible with the socket bit and ensure the tool and socket are clean and free of debris. Attach the socket bit to the drive securely, place it fully over the hex fastener, and apply torque gradually to avoid slipping. For recessed fasteners, position the extended socket carefully to maintain alignment. When removing tight fasteners, use controlled, steady force and consider using a breaker bar to increase leverage if necessary. After use, inspect the socket for wear and store it in a dry toolbox or socket rail.
Use the socket bit only with tools and adapters rated for 1/2" drives. Avoid applying excessive impact with tools not intended for impact sockets. Regularly inspect the 6-point contact surfaces for rounding or wear to ensure secure engagement with hex fasteners.
