Socket 12-point 1/2" 13 mm Honiton H1713
Honiton 12-point 1/2" 13 mm socket H1713 is a compact steel socket designed for use with 1/2" drive ratchets and breakers. It fits 12-point fasteners and bolts of 13 mm size, providing precise seating and allowing access in tighter spaces where traditional larger sockets may not reach. The socket is intended for workshop and automotive environments where reliable contact with hex/12-point heads is needed for tightening and loosening operations.
The 12-point geometry allows multiple engagement orientations, enabling quicker alignment with fastener heads and easier use in confined spaces. Constructed from hardened steel, the socket offers durability and resistance to deformation under typical workshop loads. Its 1/2" drive compatibility makes it suitable for heavy-duty ratchets and breakers, delivering secure connection and effective torque transfer.
This socket is not designed for use on fasteners larger or smaller than 13 mm; using incorrect sizes can cause rounding or damage to the fastener. It is also not intended for applications requiring torque beyond the standard limits of a hand-operated 1/2" socket and should not replace specialized impact-rated sockets for use with impact wrenches unless explicitly rated for that purpose.
Select the 13 mm socket and attach it securely to a compatible 1/2" drive ratchet or breaker bar. Position the socket squarely over the 12-point fastener, ensuring full contact with the head before applying torque. Use steady, controlled force when tightening or loosening fasteners and avoid sudden strikes or excessive torque that could damage the socket or fastener. After use, clean off dirt and debris and store in a socket rail or toolbox to prevent corrosion.
Use this 12-point 13 mm socket with standard 1/2" drive ratchets for routine maintenance and repair tasks. For stuck or rusted fasteners, apply penetrating lubricant and use a breaker bar to increase leverage rather than applying excessive force with a ratchet. Store the socket dry and inspect regularly for wear to maintain safe and accurate performance.
