Audio cable Hosa CMP-105 — 1.52 m, 3.5 mm TRS (male) to 6.35 mm TS (male), nickel-plated contacts, black
Hosa CMP-105 is a 1.52 m audio cable that converts a stereo 3.5 mm TRS output into a summed mono 6.35 mm TS signal. The cable features a 3.5 mm TRS (male) connector and a 6.35 mm TS (male) connector with nickel-plated contacts and a black jacket. It is intended for connecting portable players, smartphones, tablets or laptops to amplifiers, mixers, instruments or audio interfaces that accept 6.35 mm mono phone inputs.
The cable’s OFC (oxygen-free copper) conductors improve signal clarity while the OFC spiral shield provides effective rejection of electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference. Nickel-plated plugs offer corrosion resistance and reliable mechanical durability. The 1.52 m length balances reach and manageability for stage, studio and desktop setups, and the construction is optimized for summing stereo to mono without adding unnecessary bulk.
Insert the 3.5 mm TRS plug into the headphone or line output of your portable device, smartphone or computer. Plug the 6.35 mm TS end into the mono input of a mixer, amplifier, instrument or audio interface. Ensure volume levels on the source and destination devices are set low before connecting, then gradually increase to the desired listening or recording level. Do not force connectors into incompatible jacks; verify the 6.35 mm input is a mono TS socket.
For best audio results, use the Hosa CMP-105 to feed a mono input from consumer devices while keeping source volumes moderate to avoid clipping. Avoid routing the cable near strong sources of electromagnetic interference such as power transformers or wireless transmitters. Inspect connectors regularly and store the cable coiled without tight bends to preserve the OFC conductors and shield.
