Adapter cable Hosa GPR-101 — 6.35 mm TS to RCA, black
Hosa GPR-101 is an adapter cable that converts a 6.35 mm TS (mono) plug to an RCA connector. Finished in black, this passive adapter provides a simple means to link instruments, mixers, amplifiers or other professional audio equipment with 6.35 mm TS outputs to consumer devices with RCA inputs. The cable is intended for signal routing, testing, or basic audio playback in studio, live and home audio setups where balanced connections are not required.
The adapter offers a compact, low-complexity solution for converting a mono 6.35 mm phone plug to an RCA phono connector without active electronics. Its straightforward construction minimizes signal path alterations and is suitable for short interconnections. The black finish provides a neutral appearance that blends with standard rack and instrument setups. As a passive adapter, it does not require power and can be used immediately after connection.
Insert the 6.35 mm TS plug into the mono phone jack of the source device (for example an instrument output, mixer output or amplifier output). Plug the RCA connector into the RCA input of the receiving device. Ensure both devices are powered down or volume is reduced before connecting to avoid transient noise. This adapter carries an unbalanced mono signal and is intended for short runs; avoid using it as a substitute for balanced connections where noise rejection is required.
Use the Hosa GPR-101 for short, straightforward connections between pro audio gear and consumer equipment. Do not use it to convert balanced signals to unbalanced or to replace dedicated DI boxes or isolation transformers when impedance matching, ground-lift or long cable runs are needed.
