The Poly CCX 400 is an entry-level business IP phone featuring a 5" (12.7 cm) LCD touchscreen and support for up to 24 lines. Designed for desk environments, it provides Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps) connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE) for flexible installation without a separate power adapter. The phone includes a wired handset and an integrated speakerphone, supports Open SIP deployments and a wide range of audio codecs including OPUS, G.722, G.729ab and G.711, and implements 256-bit AES, SRTP and TLS for secure voice communications.
The large color touchscreen and simple user interface make call handling, contacts and calendar access fast and intuitive. Gigabit Ethernet and PoE reduce cabling complexity and enable reliable network performance. Compatibility with Open SIP and common codecs ensures interoperability with a variety of PBX and cloud telephony platforms. Built-in security features protect signaling and media streams, while the wired handset and full-duplex speakerphone provide flexible audio options for private or hands-free conversations.
Connect the Poly CCX 400 to the network using the RJ-45 Ethernet port; if available, use PoE to power the device from a compatible switch or injector. Follow on-screen prompts on the 5" touchscreen to configure network settings and register the phone to your SIP server or telephony service. Use the touchscreen to access contacts, call history and calendar entries; place and receive calls via the wired handset or hands-free speakerphone. Adjust audio volume and handset settings through the phone settings menu on the display.
For best call quality, connect the phone to a Gigabit-enabled network segment and enable QoS (Quality of Service) on switches to prioritize voice traffic. Ensure the SIP server and firmware are kept up to date and configure SRTP/TLS to maintain secure communications. Place the device on a stable desk surface away from sources of electrical interference to preserve audio clarity.
