Compact film camera Ilford Sprite 35-II 35 mm ISO 200-800 Blue Silver
The Ilford Sprite 35-II is a compact 35 mm film camera designed for simple, no-frills analogue shooting. With a fixed-focus 31 mm f/9 wide-angle lens and a fixed shutter speed of 1/120 s, it is intended for straightforward daylight snapshots and basic low-light pictures using the built-in flash. Lightweight and reusable, the Sprite 35-II accepts 35 mm colour negative or black-and-white film (ISO 200–800) and uses a manual film advance lever and rewind mechanism.
The camera offers an easy-to-use design that requires no exposure adjustments, making it suitable for beginners and users who prefer uncomplicated operation. Its fixed 31 mm lens and f/9 aperture provide reliably sharp results at typical daylight distances, while the built-in flash (approx. 15 s recycle time) extends usability into low-light situations. As a reusable compact film camera it reduces waste compared with single-use alternatives and is highly portable at just 122 g.
Load a 35 mm film cartridge into the camera following the film chamber markings, pull the film leader across to the take-up spool, and use the manual advance lever to secure the first frame. Compose using the viewfinder, press the shutter to take an image, then advance the film with the winding lever before the next exposure. When the roll is finished, rewind the film fully into the cartridge and remove it for processing. Use the built-in flash as needed for low-light shots, allowing the indicated recycle time between flashes.
For best results, use ISO 200–400 film for standard daylight shooting and ISO 400–800 films when expecting lower light. Keep subjects at or beyond 1 m for optimal focus, and carry spare film rolls and batteries for extended use of the built-in flash.
