InLine Dual Gigabit Network Card 1x RJ45 2.5Gb/s PCIe x1
InLine Dual Gigabit Network Card 1x RJ45 2.5Gb/s PCIe x1
The InLine Dual Gigabit Network Card 1x RJ45 2.5Gb/s PCIe x1 provides a single high-speed wired Ethernet connection for desktop systems with an available PCI Express x1 slot. Designed for stable, low-latency networking, the card supports a maximum data transfer rate of 2500 Mbit/s and complies with common Ethernet and VLAN standards. A low-profile bracket is included to accommodate compact chassis, and the card’s compact design and standard RJ45 port make it compatible with existing Ethernet cabling and network infrastructure.
This network card offers a straightforward upgrade path to 2.5 GbE performance without requiring motherboard changes. Support for IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging and IEEE 802.1p prioritization enables better traffic management in mixed network environments. Backward compatibility with older Ethernet standards ensures interoperability with 10/100/1000BASE-T devices. The inclusion of a low-profile bracket simplifies installation in small form-factor cases while the PCI Express interface provides a direct, low-latency connection to the host system.
Power down the computer and unplug it from the mains. Open the case and locate an available PCI Express x1 slot. Remove the corresponding rear slot cover, position the network card into the slot and press down until it is fully seated. Secure the card with the bracket screw and, if required, replace the full-height bracket with the supplied low-profile bracket following the case manufacturer’s instructions. Close the case, reconnect power and network cables, then power on the system. Install drivers if the operating system does not automatically detect the card. Configure link speed, VLANs, and QoS settings through the operating system or network management software as needed.
For optimal performance use Cat5e or higher Ethernet cables and connect to a switch or router that supports 2.5 GbE. Keep drivers up to date to ensure compatibility and stability. When installing in compact cases, verify space for the bracket and airflow around the PCIe slot to maintain system cooling.
