Sleeving InLine self-closing 10 mm diameter, 2 m, polyester, black
InLine self-closing sleeving with a nominal diameter of 10 mm and a length of 2 m is a lightweight braided cable protection solution made from polyester with a woven polypropylene jacket. Designed to protect wiring and cable bundles from abrasion, moisture and moderate mechanical stress, this sleeving offers a wide operating temperature range from −50 °C to 150 °C and straightforward self-closing installation without additional fasteners.
The sleeving combines an outer woven polypropylene jacket with an inner polyester fabric hose to provide a balance of low weight, high abrasion resistance and improved thermal insulation. Its self-closing braided design allows easy insertion and removal of cables while maintaining a secure fit around bundles. The material construction contributes to good flame resistance, corrosion-free performance, and durable protection in automotive, industrial and electronic environments. Two self-closing sections can be used independently or joined to extend coverage when longer runs are needed.
Open the self-closing sleeving along its braided seam and insert cables or cable bundles, then release so the braid contracts around the wires for a secure fit. For longer runs, join the two self-closing sections end-to-end or overlap them to achieve the required coverage. Trim the sleeving to length with appropriate cutting tools and, if needed, seal the cut ends with heat or adhesive tape to prevent fraying. Ensure cables are clean and free of sharp edges before sleeving to maintain maximum abrasion protection.
For best results, route sleeved cables away from sharp metal edges and moving parts; secure the sleeving with clamps or cable ties at intervals to prevent displacement. Avoid prolonged exposure to open flames despite flame-resistant properties, and select a larger diameter sleeving if multiple cables are to be routed together to prevent excessive compression.
