InLine® USB Display Converter offers a bidirectional USB-C ↔ DisplayPort connection for flexible use with notebooks, PCs, monitors, smartphones and VR glasses. It supports DisplayPort 1.2 and 1.4, delivers bandwidth up to 32.4 Gb/s (DP 1.4 HBR3) and is compatible with Thunderbolt 3/4, USB4 and DP Alt Mode. The converter supports high resolutions up to 8K@60Hz and is backward compatible with multiple 4K and 2K refresh-rate combinations, while providing HDR formats and adaptive sync technologies for stable audiovisual performance.
The converter works bidirectionally, allowing connection of a USB-C device to a DisplayPort monitor or a DisplayPort source to a USB-C display. It supports HDR10, HDR400, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for professional image quality and includes Adaptive Sync, FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility. Plug-and-play operation requires no additional drivers, ensuring fast and reliable integration in workstations and meeting rooms. Broad device compatibility makes it suitable for current and future setups.
Connect the converter to a USB-C device or a DisplayPort source depending on the required direction. Use a USB-C cable that meets USB 3.2 specifications or better; for USB4/Thunderbolt 4 devices and the highest resolutions use a cable compliant with USB4/Thunderbolt 4. The maximum recommended cable length is 3 m; for 8K@60Hz or 4K@120Hz and higher, limit the cable length to 2 m for reliable signal transmission. The device is plug-and-play and normally does not require driver installation.
For best results at 8K@60Hz or high refresh-rate 4K modes, use a certified USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 cable no longer than 2 m and ensure connected devices support the required DisplayPort version and HDR/Adaptive Sync formats.
