The InLine PCIe 2-Port RS-232 card expands modern computers with two reliable RS-232 serial interfaces. Advantages

How to use

Install the card into an available PCIe x1 slot (or compatible larger slot) inside the PC chassis and secure the appropriate bracket for standard or low-profile enclosures. Connect serial devices using standard DB9 cables to the two D-Sub 9 connectors. Install drivers supplied on the included CD or download current drivers for Windows (7 and newer, Server 2008 R2 and later) or a Linux kernel from 2.6.30 onward. Configure serial port parameters (baud rate, data bits, stop bits, parity, flow control) in the operating system or application to match the connected device.

Usage recommendations

Use shielded DB9 cables and enable hardware flow control (RTS/CTS) when working at high baud rates or with continuous data streams. Verify parity and stop bit settings to match legacy equipment and ensure ESD precautions when connecting or disconnecting devices.
