How to use

Install the card into a Mini-PCIe slot (PCIe x1). If space requires, snap along the predetermined breaking point to convert to half-size and attach the low-profile bracket to the external RJ45 module. Connect the supplied 10-pin cable between the main module and the external RJ45 module and attach the LED cable if status LEDs are needed. Install drivers from the included CD or obtain up-to-date drivers from the chipset manufacturer, then connect a CAT-5 or better Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port and verify link and speed in the operating system.

Usage recommendations

Use CAT-5e or CAT-6 cables for reliable Gigabit performance; enable VLAN and QoS settings in the network switch or operating system where segmentation or traffic prioritization is required.
