INNE Dual detector microwave + PIR PDM-IXA12T — combined motion sensor with microwave and passive infrared
The INNE Dual detector microwave + PIR PDM-IXA12T combines microwave Doppler sensing with passive infrared detection in a single compact unit designed for indoor presence and intrusion monitoring. By using both microwave and PIR technologies, the PDM-IXA12T offers improved detection reliability and reduced false alarms compared with single-technology motion sensors. The detector is intended for mounting in typical surveillance zones such as corridors, rooms and entrance areas where dependable automated detection is required.
This combined motion sensor provides enhanced detection accuracy by cross-checking microwave movement signals with infrared heat changes, which lowers the likelihood of false activations from environmental factors. The dual-technology approach increases coverage and sensitivity to both moving objects and small thermal changes, while maintaining compatibility with standard indoor security and automation systems. The unit’s integrated design simplifies installation and reduces the need for separate sensors to achieve the same level of performance.
The PDM-IXA12T is optimized for indoor environments; it is not designed for direct outdoor exposure or locations with extreme humidity or temperature variations. In very cluttered spaces with frequent small movements close to the sensor, sensitivity adjustments or complementary zoning may be necessary to avoid unnecessary activations.
Install the detector following manufacturer guidance for mounting height and orientation to cover the intended zone. Connect the unit to the alarm or automation system according to the wiring and signal specifications provided by the system integrator. Adjust sensitivity and any available detection parameters to balance detection range and false-alarm immunity for the specific environment. After installation, perform functional testing to verify coverage, response to movement, and correct interaction with connected systems.
For optimal performance, mount the sensor at the recommended height away from direct airflow from HVAC vents and large reflective surfaces, and configure sensitivity settings after on-site testing. Use the dual-sensing capability to reduce false alarms by ensuring both microwave movement and infrared change conditions are met before triggering connected alarms or automation actions.
