IP-DECT gateway innovaphone IP1203/4 — 4-channel PoE IP-DECT gateway
The innovaphone IP1203/4 is an IP-DECT gateway that provides four DECT channels and supports Power over Ethernet (PoE). It links DECT base stations to an IP telephony network, enabling mobile voice communication for offices and small sites. The device is designed for integration with innovaphone systems and reduces cabling by delivering both data and power over a single Ethernet connection.
The IP-DECT gateway offers four simultaneous VoIP calls and supports common telephony protocols including SIP and H.323. With PoE support and an external form factor, it is compact (17 cm x 17.4 cm x 3.8 cm) and lightweight (400 g), allowing flexible placement without separate power wiring. It supports secure and standard media transport protocols such as RTP, SRTP and RTCP for voice transmission.
Connect the IP1203/4 to your Ethernet network and a compatible innovaphone system or SIP/H.323-based call server. If available, supply power via a PoE-enabled switch or injector to avoid a separate power adapter. Configure the gateway in the telephony platform to register DECT base stations and assign channels; set network parameters (DHCP or static IP) and secure signaling (TLS/SRTP) as required. After registration, attach DECT base stations to provide mobile handsets with voice connectivity through the IP network.
For reliable voice quality, place the gateway close to the network aggregation point and ensure PoE power class and network bandwidth meet the requirements for four simultaneous calls. Use secure transport (TLS/SRTP) when integrating with public or untrusted networks, and keep firmware updated according to innovaphone guidance.
