Feeler gauge INSIZE MWSb 0.05–1 mm 20-blade set L=200 mm (4605-201) is a professional measuring tool designed for precise measurement of gaps, clearances and shim thicknesses in mechanical assemblies. The set contains 20 stainless steel blades that collectively cover a measuring range from 0.05 mm up to 1.00 mm. Each blade has a length of 200 mm, providing stability and easy access in confined or recessed areas. The construction and material selection ensure consistent thickness and corrosion resistance suitable for workshop and industrial environments.
The stainless steel blades offer long-term dimensional stability and resistance to wear and corrosion, allowing repeatable measurements. A broad span of blade thicknesses in one compact set reduces the need for multiple single gauges while the 200 mm blade length facilitates measurement across wider gaps and in deeper slots. The blades are individually usable for incremental thickness checking and can be combined to generate intermediate values for precise adjustment tasks.
Select a single blade or a combination of blades whose summed thickness approximates the gap or clearance to be measured. Insert the blade(s) gently into the gap and slide until slight friction indicates the fit. If the blade fits with too much play, increase thickness by adding blades; if too tight, choose a thinner blade or reduce the combination. Readings are taken by identifying the blade or blade combination that produces a light sliding resistance without forcing. After use, clean blades of oil or debris and store them flat to maintain accuracy.
For reliable results, perform measurements at stable ambient temperature, avoid bending blades during use, and clean contact surfaces before measuring. Regularly inspect blades for nicks or corrosion and replace any damaged blades to preserve measurement accuracy.
