Gap gauge tape INSIZE 0.05 mm x 5 m model 4621-05
INSIZE gap gauge tape model 4621-05 is a flexible tape-type feeler gauge designed for measuring narrow gaps and clearances over extended lengths. With a resolution of 0.05 mm and a total tape length of 5 m, this measuring strip offers incremental thickness reference for verification of slots, joints and clearances in workshops and inspection settings. The compact, rollable format enables easy storage and use in assembly, maintenance and quality-control tasks where linear access is required.
The tape provides consistent 0.05 mm incremental steps across its full length, allowing accurate assessment of gap widths and clearances that are difficult to reach with rigid feeler gauges. Its flexible construction adapts to curved or recessed surfaces while remaining thin enough to enter tight spaces. The long 5 m length reduces the need for repeated repositioning when measuring along extended edges or seams, and the rollable design protects the graduated increments when not in use.
Extend the tape along the gap, slot or seam to be measured and insert the strip until the tape fits snugly without excessive deformation. Read the nearest 0.05 mm increment where the tape first meets resistance to determine gap width. For curved or recessed surfaces, flex the tape to follow the contour and observe the marking at the contact point. After use, roll the tape back into its protective form to prevent damage to the graduated markings.
Use the tape at moderate temperatures and keep it clean from oils and abrasives to preserve the accuracy of the incremental markings. Avoid bending the tape sharply at the same point repeatedly to prevent deformation. For critical measurements, take multiple readings at different positions and average the results to reduce error.
