Internal WLAN Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201
Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) is a multi-user extension of the orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation method. OFDMA enables simultaneous low-data-rate transmissions from multiple users over subdivided frequency resources, increasing spectral efficiency and supporting concurrent connections in wireless networks.
OFDMA provides efficient use of spectrum by allocating distinct subcarriers to different users, reduces latency for small-packet transmissions, and improves overall network capacity by enabling parallel access. It also allows flexible resource scheduling and better coexistence in multi-user environments.
OFDMA is implemented within wireless communication systems and managed by the network scheduler. Devices and access points divide available bandwidth into subcarriers and assign them to users according to demand and channel conditions. No special action is required from end users; device firmware and network equipment handle allocation and synchronization.
Use OFDMA-capable network equipment and up-to-date firmware to benefit from improved spectral efficiency and multi-user performance, especially in environments with many connected devices.
