Key mechanisms such as kernel bypass, direct data placement, and transport acceleration enable efficient memory-to-memory transfers that reduce CPU involvement and improve data center application responsiveness.

Advantages

Intel® Data Direct I/O Technology (DDIO) reduces I/O latency and increases system I/O bandwidth by allowing adapters and controllers to place data directly into the processor cache instead of routing through system memory.
