The Intel I350T4G2P20 is an internal wired Ethernet network card with a PCI Express interface and a maximum data transfer rate of 1000 Mbit/s. Designed for installation in servers and workstations, the card supports industry networking standards and provides features for low-latency communication, virtualization support and power-efficient operation.
The card implements iWARP/RDMA for low-latency data transfers using Kernel Bypass, Direct Data Placement and Transport Acceleration. It supports PCI-SIG SR-IOV and Flexible Port Partitioning (FPP) to create multiple virtual functions from a single physical port, and VMDq to offload I/O switching from the virtual machine monitor. Intel Ethernet Power Management features reduce idle power and adjust capacity according to demand.
Install the Intel I350T4G2P20 into an available PCI Express slot on a compatible motherboard, secure the card and connect it to the network using standard RJ-45 Ethernet cabling. Install the appropriate Intel drivers and management software for your operating system to enable advanced features such as SR-IOV, VMDq and iWARP/RDMA. Configure virtualization settings in the host hypervisor and assign virtual functions as required for virtual machines.
Use updated drivers and firmware from the vendor, enable features (SR-IOV, FPP, VMDq, iWARP) only if supported by host hardware and OS, and verify network switch compatibility for RDMA and VLAN/QoS settings to achieve expected performance and reliability.
