The Intellinet Media Converter 1000Base-T to 1000Base-SX enables migration from copper-based Gigabit Ethernet to fibre-based Gigabit Ethernet with minimal cost and complexity. The compact metal-housed converter is transparent to the network and supports both copper (RJ-45) and fibre (SC) connections, providing a maximum data rate of 1000 Mbit/s and fibre link distances up to 550 m over 850 nm wavelength. LED indicators for LAN, Link and Power help monitor connection status, while the device operates from a 5 V input with a maximum power consumption of 2.5 W.
