Interface Card Inter-Tech KCSSD4
The Inter-Tech KCSSD4 is an internal M.2 interface card that provides an M.2 output via a PCIe host interface. Based on the ASM1061R chipset, the card supports data transfer rates up to 6 Gbit/s and offers RAID level support for 0, 1 and JBOD. With compact dimensions of 120 mm x 125 mm x 20 mm and a weight of approximately 110 g, the KCSSD4 is designed to add or expand M.2 storage connectivity in desktop systems compatible with Windows 10 Education and Enterprise editions.
The Inter-Tech KCSSD4 combines a PCIe host interface with an M.2 output to enable high-speed SATA-level transfers using the ASM1061R controller. Its support for RAID 0, RAID 1 and JBOD provides flexible storage configurations for increased performance or redundancy. The card's modest size and low weight make it suitable for systems with limited internal space while maintaining straightforward installation and compatibility with supported Windows 10 editions.
Install the Inter-Tech KCSSD4 into an available PCIe slot on a compatible desktop motherboard, ensuring the system is powered off and unplugged before installation. Secure the card to the chassis and connect any required M.2 drives to the card's M.2 output according to the drive form factor and keying. After powering on, verify that the system BIOS/UEFI recognizes the card and attached drives, then install drivers if required for your Windows 10 Education or Enterprise edition. Configure RAID levels through the card's firmware utility or the operating system's disk management tools as needed.
Use the KCSSD4 in cases where additional M.2 connectivity or simple RAID configurations are needed. For RAID 1 redundancy, use matching-capacity and similar-performance drives. Ensure proper cooling and airflow inside the chassis when running high-throughput workloads, and back up important data before creating or modifying RAID arrays.
