Server Rack Inter-Tech 4U-4416L Black Silver
The Inter-Tech 4U-4416L Black Silver is a compact 4U server rack engineered for secure mounting and efficient cooling of rack-mounted components. It accepts standard rack-mount hardware and is compatible with ATX power supplies. With support for up to 26 hard drives in both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch formats, the chassis is suited for dense storage configurations. Its exterior dimensions — 480 mm width, 680 mm depth and 178 mm height — make it appropriate for small server rooms, network cabinets or workspace enclosures. The unit ships with two pre-installed 80 mm rear fans and provides mounting options for additional 40 mm front fans to optimize airflow and thermal management.
The rack combines a compact 4U form factor with a relatively high HDD capacity, enabling space-efficient storage consolidation. Pre-installed rear fans and support for front fan additions improve cooling without requiring immediate aftermarket modifications. Compatibility with ATX power supplies simplifies integration with common server components. A two-tone Black and Silver finish offers neutral appearance suitable for diverse equipment environments.
Install the Inter-Tech 4U-4416L into a compatible 19-inch rack or cabinet, securing it with appropriate mounting screws. Fit an ATX power supply into the designated bay and connect power to installed drives and any additional components. Mount 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives into the provided trays or bays following standard drive installation procedures, and route cabling to minimize airflow obstruction. Verify that the two rear 80 mm fans are connected to power and consider installing 40 mm front fans if additional intake airflow is required. After assembly, perform an initial power-on and thermal check to confirm adequate cooling and stable operation.
Place the rack in a well-ventilated enclosure and maintain clearance at the front and rear to ensure effective airflow. Use matched drive types and monitor temperatures when populating many drive bays. For sustained high-load or dense drive configurations, install additional front fans and ensure the power supply provides sufficient wattage and appropriate connectors for all installed hardware.
