Hand saw Irwin 10505548 — 70 cm stainless steel blade, blue/yellow handle
IRWIN 10505548 hand saw with a 700 mm (70 cm) blade is designed for cutting aerated concrete and similar lightweight masonry materials. The saw combines a stainless-steel blade with a comfortable soft-grip handle and a finger guide to improve control during cutting.
The blade features specially designed large teeth to cut cellular (aerated) concrete efficiently. Available with hardpoint teeth and carbide-tipped versions, the saw offers durable cutting performance and longer tooth life. The soft-grip handle with a finger guide helps steady the saw for more accurate strokes and reduces hand fatigue during extended use.
This hand saw is optimised for aerated concrete and similar soft masonry materials; it is not intended for cutting steel, reinforcement bars, or very hard natural stone. For dense concrete, metal, or heavy-duty demolition tasks, a power tool or a saw with a blade designed for those materials is more appropriate.
Mark the cut line on the aerated concrete, secure the workpiece to prevent movement, and position the saw so the large teeth engage the material. Use steady, even strokes and allow the teeth to do the cutting without excessive downward pressure. For longer cuts, maintain a consistent rhythm and periodically clear dust from the cut to keep teeth working efficiently.
Use the IRWIN 10505548 hand saw for straight, controlled cuts in aerated concrete. Wear appropriate dust protection and secure the workpiece. Replace or choose the carbide-tipped blade for extended life when cutting abrasive materials frequently.
