Bit holder Irwin 350 mm flexible for screwdriver bits, model IW6064611
Bit holder Irwin 350 mm flexible for screwdriver bits, model IW6064611
The Irwin flexible bit holder 350 mm is designed to extend reach and provide access to fasteners in confined, recessed or obstructed locations. The holder accepts standard 1/4" hex screwdriver bits and transmits torque through an elastic shaft that bends around obstacles while maintaining a secure grip on the bit. Its length and flexibility make it suitable for tasks where a straight driver cannot reach, enabling work on assembly, maintenance and repair applications with limited clearance.
The elastic shaft allows controlled flexing without disengaging the bit, reducing the need to reposition the driver or dismantle surrounding components. Its 350 mm length provides significant additional reach for deep-set screws and fasteners. Constructed to fit standard hex bits, the holder is compatible with a wide range of screwdriver bit types and sizes, simplifying tool selection for multi-task jobs. The design balances flexibility with torsional stiffness to deliver reliable torque transfer while navigating around obstacles.
Insert a compatible 1/4" hex screwdriver bit into the holder until it locks in place. Attach the opposite end to a screwdriver handle or driver chuck rated for 1/4" hex accessories. Guide the flexible shaft around obstacles to position the bit on the fastener, then apply steady torque. Avoid sharp bends near the socket and do not exceed the torque recommended for the inserted bit to prevent damage. After use, remove the bit by pulling it straight from the holder.
For reliable performance, use bits and drivers that match the holder's hex size and avoid excessive side loads or abrupt impacts. Inspect the shaft and socket before use for wear or damage. When working with powered drivers, set a controlled torque or use short bursts to reduce stress on the flexible shaft.
