Socket Set for Alloy Wheels JCB 1/2" Impact 4-piece (17, 19, 21, 22 mm)
JCB 1/2" Impact 4-piece socket set for alloy wheels includes four metric sizes — 17, 19, 21 and 22 mm — designed for use with 1/2" impact wrenches and pneumatic tools. The set is intended for removal and fitting of wheel bolts on passenger cars with alloy rims and covers the most common lug nut sizes. Sockets are manufactured to withstand high torque impulses typical of impact tools and to provide a secure fit on hexagonal fasteners.
The sockets are made for impact use, with thicker walls and heat-treated steel to resist deformation under repeated high-torque loading. A corrosion-resistant finish improves durability in workshop environments. The 1/2" drive interface ensures compatibility with standard impact wrenches and extensions. Having four common sizes in one compact set reduces time spent changing tools and lowers the risk of using an incorrect socket on wheel bolts.
Select the correct socket size that fits the wheel bolt head, attach it securely to a compatible 1/2" impact wrench or pneumatic gun, and place the socket squarely over the bolt. Operate the impact tool following the tool manufacturer's guidelines, applying short bursts to break bolts free or to tighten to a moderate setting before final torqueing with a calibrated torque wrench if required. After use, inspect sockets for signs of wear or rounding and store them in a dry place to maintain condition.
For safety and fastener integrity, always verify bolt thread condition before reinstallation and use a torque wrench to apply the manufacturer's specified wheel torque. Do not use impact sockets on damaged or excessively corroded bolts, and replace any socket that shows cracks, severe wear or mushrooming. Use appropriate eye and hand protection when operating impact tools.
