Impact socket 1/2" (12.7 mm drive) 26 mm, 6-point by JCB is an impact-rated socket designed for use with impact wrenches and impact drivers. The socket fits hex fasteners and transfers high torque from pneumatic or electric tools to bolts and nuts in automotive, construction and maintenance applications. It is manufactured to withstand repeated impact loading and is intended for professional and DIY contexts where a durable, impact-capable socket is required.
The 6-point configuration reduces rounding of hex fasteners and ensures better surface contact with bolt heads. The 26 mm size covers common fastener dimensions used on vehicles and machinery. Heat-treated alloy construction and an impact-rated finish provide resistance to cracking and deformation under high torque. The 1/2" (12.7 mm) drive interface is compatible with a wide range of impact wrenches, extension bars and adapters for flexible workshop use.
Select the 26 mm 6-point impact socket and attach it securely to a 1/2" (12.7 mm) drive impact wrench or compatible adaptor. Position the socket over the hex fastener, ensure full seating on the bolt or nut, and operate the impact wrench according to the tool manufacturer's instructions. Apply controlled bursts of torque for removal or tightening, and avoid sustained continuous operation at maximum power to reduce wear on both socket and fastener.
Inspect the socket regularly for signs of cracking, deformation or wear before use. Use impact-rated accessories only with impact tools; do not use standard hand sockets on impact wrenches. Match socket size precisely to fastener size to minimize rounding and damage. When higher torque is required, use appropriate extensions, adapters and torque control tools and follow safety guidelines for eye and hand protection.
