Socket for alloy wheel nuts JCB 19 mm 1/2" with protective sleeve
Socket for alloy wheel nuts JCB 19 mm 1/2" with protective sleeve
Deep socket for alloy wheel nuts by JCB, size 19 mm with a 1/2" square drive and an integrated protective sleeve. This tool is designed to engage wheel fasteners on aluminium rims while minimising the risk of scratching or marring the wheel finish. The socket fits standard 1/2" drive ratchets, breakers and impact wrenches that accept common square drives, making it suitable for both professional garages and home workshops handling tyre servicing and wheel changes.
The deep design provides full engagement with recessed wheel nuts, reducing slippage and improving torque transfer. The protective sleeve cushions contact between the socket and the alloy rim, helping to preserve the wheel’s appearance during removal and installation. Constructed from durable materials, the socket is compatible with both hand and impact tools and offers reliable performance for repeated use.
Select the 19 mm deep socket and slide it over the wheel nut until it seats fully. Ensure the protective sleeve is positioned between the socket body and the rim to reduce direct metal-to-metal contact. Attach the socket to a 1/2" drive ratchet, breaker bar or impact wrench as required, and apply torque in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications. When using an impact tool, operate at the recommended settings to avoid over-torquing. After use, inspect the sleeve for wear and replace if damaged to maintain wheel protection.
Use a calibrated torque wrench for final tightening of wheel nuts to the vehicle manufacturer’s specified torque values. Store the socket in a dry environment and check the protective sleeve regularly; replace the sleeve if it shows cuts or excessive wear to ensure continued protection of alloy wheel surfaces.
