Impact Deep Socket 3/4" 72mm 6-Point by JCB

The JCB Impact Deep Socket 3/4" 72mm 6-Point is a heavy-duty, impact-rated socket engineered for use with 3/4-inch drive torque tools and impact wrenches. Its 72 mm size and deep profile allow access to recessed nuts and bolts, while the 6-point configuration provides positive contact with fastener flats to reduce rounding. Manufactured for workshop, automotive and industrial environments, this socket is intended to withstand repeated high-torque applications.

Advantages

This impact socket is made to meet the demands of high-torque fastening and loosening tasks. The deep design permits engagement with long studs and recessed fasteners, and the 6-point geometry offers improved grip on hex fasteners compared with 12-point alternatives. The socket is heat-treated and finished for durability under impact loads and frequent use, providing consistent performance with impact wrenches and torque tools.

Suitable for

• Automotive wheel and suspension work requiring deep reach
• Heavy equipment maintenance and repair where large nuts are recessed
• Industrial assembly and disassembly tasks using 3/4" drive impact tools
• Workshops and service bays performing high-torque fastening

When it may not be suitable

This socket is specifically designed for impact use with 3/4-inch drive tools and may be unsuitable for precision torque applications that require calibrated, non-impact-rated sockets or torque-limiting extensions. It is also not intended for use on fasteners with rounded or damaged heads where specialty extractors would be required.

Key specifications

• Drive size: 3/4 inch
• Socket depth: deep profile suitable for recessed nuts and studs
• Across-flats size: 72 mm
• Point configuration: 6-point (hex)
• Intended use: impact-rated for use with impact wrenches and torque tools
• Material treatment: heat-treated for impact durability

How to use

Select the JCB 72 mm 6-point deep impact socket and attach it securely to a compatible 3/4" drive impact wrench or torque tool. Ensure the socket fully engages the nut or bolt flats before applying power. When loosening, apply controlled short bursts of the impact tool to avoid sudden breakaway torque; when tightening, use an appropriate torque-checking method if exact torque specifications are required. Inspect the socket and fastener condition before and after use, and replace the socket if cracks or excessive wear appear.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm your tool’s drive size is 3/4" and compatible with the socket
• Verify that 72 mm across-flats matches the fasteners you will service
• Consider whether a 6-point socket is preferable to a 12-point for your fastener access
• Check that an impact-rated socket is appropriate for your torque and duty cycle

Usage recommendations

Use this JCB impact deep socket only with impact-rated accessories and tools. Wear appropriate eye and hand protection during impact operations, and store the socket in a dry, clean toolbox to prevent corrosion. For critical torque settings, finish tightening with a calibrated torque wrench rather than solely relying on an impact tool.
