JOKARI stripping tool Secura No. 28G (model 10281)
JOKARI Secura No. 28G (model 10281) is a manual wire stripping tool designed for precise removal of insulation from electrical cables. The compact handheld tool is intended for standard round cables with stripping lengths from 8 to 28 mm and conductor diameters corresponding to wire sizes 0.313–1.125 inches. Blades feature a titanium nitride (TiN) coating for extended service life and improved cutting performance. The tool includes an adjustable cutting depth via a screw at the handle end and an automatic adjustment mechanism to switch between round and length stripping.
The TiN-coated blades provide longer life, faster cutting and reduced wear compared with uncoated blades. An adjustable screw allows precise setting of cutting depth to match insulation thickness and conductor size. Automatic adjustment simplifies switching between circular and longitudinal stripping, reducing setup time. A spare TiN-coated blade is stored in the handle for quick replacement, ensuring continued operation without additional parts.
Select the desired stripping length (8–28 mm) and adjust the cutting depth using the screw at the end of the handle to match the insulation thickness. Place the cable into the stripping slot, allow the automatic mechanism to position for round or length stripping as required, then rotate or pull the tool according to the cable type to remove insulation. Replace the blade from the spare stored in the handle when cutting performance decreases, and re-adjust cutting depth after blade replacement if necessary.
Use the tool on clean, standard round cables within the specified size range. Set cutting depth conservatively on delicate conductors to avoid nicking. Keep the TiN-coated spare blade in the handle for rapid replacement and inspect blades periodically for wear. Store the tool dry and clean to maintain the coating and mechanical adjustment.
