The Jokari No.1-Cat - Stripping tool is designed for safe and precise removal of PVC outer insulation and foil shielding from data cables. It supports a stripping length range of 4.5–10 mm and handles conductor diameters from 0.188 to 0.375 inches, providing consistent results for common Ethernet and communication cables. The blades feature a titanium nitride (TiN) coating that increases wear resistance and maintains cutting performance over time.
The TiN-coated blades deliver longer life, faster cutting action and reduced blade wear compared with uncoated steel. The tool’s unique blade arrangement gently lifts the outer insulation and reliably strips foil shielding without the need to change the cutting depth. A built-in length scale and TÜV/GS approval support reproducible stripping and compliance with safety expectations.
Place the cable into the tool’s groove at the desired marking for the required stripping length. Close the tool to engage the blades so that the outer insulation is lifted and the foil shielding is exposed. Rotate or pull the tool as recommended for the cable type to remove the insulation cleanly. The design eliminates the need to adjust cutting depth; follow the built-in length scale for repeatable results.
Use the Jokari No.1-Cat on PVC-insulated data cables within the specified stripping length and conductor diameter ranges. Inspect blades periodically for wear and replace the tool or blades when cutting performance declines. Avoid using the tool on non-PVC or significantly harder jacket materials to prevent premature wear.
