Stripping tool JOKARI Standard No. 28G for round cables Ø 8–28 mm
Stripping tool JOKARI Standard No. 28G for round cables Ø 8–28 mm
The Jokari Standard No. 28G Stripping tool is designed for removing insulation from standard round cables. It supports a stripping length range of 8–28 mm and accommodates conductor diameters equivalent to 0.3125–1.125 inches. The tool includes blades with a titanium nitride (TIN) coating for increased durability, faster cutting and reduced wear.
The TIN-coated blades extend blade life and improve cutting speed while reducing wear. The tool features adjustable cutting depth via a screw at the handle end and an automatic adjustment mechanism that adapts between round and length cuts. A TIN-coated spare blade is stored in the handle for quick replacement.
The tool is intended for standard round cables and may not perform correctly on flat, ribbon or specialty multi-conductor cables. Very small gauge wires outside the specified diameter range or extremely thick industrial cables may require a different stripper specifically designed for those sizes.
Place the round cable into the tool’s stripping slot, set the desired stripping length, and use the screw at the handle end to fine-tune cutting depth if necessary. Close and rotate or actuate the tool as intended to cut the insulation, then remove the jacket to expose the conductor. Replace the blade using the spare TIN-coated blade stored in the handle when cutting performance decreases.
Use the adjustable screw to set cutting depth conservatively at first and test on a scrap cable to avoid nicking conductors; keep the spare TIN-coated blade in the handle for immediate replacement to maintain consistent stripping quality.
