Aluminum Reinforced Tape K-flex K-FLEX® ALU AR CW 25 µm x 100 mm x 50 m
Aluminum Reinforced Tape K-flex K-FLEX® ALU AR CW 25 µm x 100 mm x 50 m
K-flex K-FLEX® ALU AR CW is an aluminum reinforced tape with a 25 µm aluminum foil facing, 100 mm width and 50 m length. The tape is engineered to provide a durable metal facing for vapor barrier continuity, mechanical protection and sealing of insulation joints on HVAC ducts, pipe insulation and refrigeration systems. Its construction combines an aluminum foil layer with a backing and adhesive system designed for adhesion to common insulation materials and metal substrates used in building services and industrial refrigeration.
The aluminum facing offers a continuous vapor barrier and resists UV exposure and light mechanical abrasion. The reinforced foil construction improves tear resistance and dimensional stability compared with plain foil tapes. Designed specifically for insulation applications, the tape provides reliable adhesion to insulation jacketing, metal ducts and prepared pipe surfaces, helping to maintain thermal performance and prevent moisture ingress.
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust, oil or loose particles before application. Measure and cut the required length of tape, then press firmly onto the insulation or metal substrate to achieve full contact; use a roller or firm hand pressure to eliminate air pockets and ensure good adhesion. Overlap tape edges where continuous vapor barrier or increased mechanical protection is required. For long-term service on outdoor or exposed installations, ensure adjoining materials and seams are properly prepared and supported.
For best performance, apply at temperatures recommended by the insulation system manufacturer and avoid stretching the tape during application. On cold surfaces, confirm that condensation risks are addressed by proper insulation and sealing. When used on refrigeration lines, observe standard installation practices to maintain thermal continuity and prevent moisture ingress.
