Double-sided sharpening stone KAI Seki Magoroku
The KAI Seki Magoroku Double-sided sharpening stone is a precision tool for maintaining and restoring the edge of kitchen knives. Designed with a diamond stone group for enhanced durability and cutting performance, the compact stone measures 51 mm wide, 138 mm deep and 57 mm high. It is compatible with KAI Shun knives and other kitchen blades requiring fine sharpening.
The double-sided design provides two grit surfaces for both effective material removal and fine honing, while the diamond-bonded abrasive ensures long-lasting performance and consistent results. Its compact dimensions make it easy to store and handle, and the stable base reduces slippage during sharpening.
Place the stone on a stable, non-slip surface. Use the coarser side to reshape a damaged or very dull edge by drawing the blade across the stone at a consistent angle, then switch to the finer side to refine and polish the bevel until the desired sharpness is achieved. Clean the blade after sharpening and wipe the stone clean of metal particles before storage.
For best results, maintain a consistent sharpening angle appropriate for your knife (typically between 15° and 20° for KAI Shun knives), work slowly and check the edge frequently. Store the stone dry and away from extreme humidity to preserve the diamond-bonded surface.
