Lens cap KAISER 6837 for digital camera, plastic, diameter 6.2 cm, black
Lens cap KAISER 6837 for digital camera, plastic, diameter 6.2 cm, black
KAISER 6837 lens cap for digital camera is a black plastic front cap with a 6.2 cm diameter designed to protect the front optical element from dust, scratches and stray light when the camera is not in use. The cap mounts to the lens filter thread and features clamping fixtures and spacious inside push-buttons for a secure hold and fast removal. A cap-attached cord reduces the risk of loss and the reduced outside diameter allows use together with bayonet-mounted lens hoods.
This lens cap combines a secure clamp mechanism with easy one-handed operation via inside push-buttons, ensuring reliable retention on lenses with matching filter threads. The plastic construction keeps the cap lightweight while providing surface protection against mechanical damage and dust. The attached cord helps prevent accidental loss during handheld shooting or storage. Its reduced external diameter makes it compatible with many bayonet-type lens hoods without interference.
Align the cap with the front of the lens and press the inside push-buttons while gently pushing the cap onto the filter thread until it snaps into place. To remove, press the push-buttons and pull the cap off the lens. Use the attached cord to secure the cap to a camera strap or case loop to avoid misplacement during shoots or transport. Ensure the cap is properly seated before placing the camera in a bag or case to avoid accidental disengagement.
Regularly clean the inner surface of the cap to prevent transferring dust or debris onto the lens; avoid forcing the cap onto damaged or incompatible threads to prevent scratching the lens or the cap’s retaining elements.
