The KAN-therm Termostat LCD BASIC+ 230 V is a digital room thermostat for on/off control of heating systems supplied with 230 V. The device provides an LCD display showing the setpoint and the current room temperature, simple setpoint adjustment and basic programming suited to domestic and small commercial installations. It is intended for direct switching of boilers, electric heaters or actuator-driven valves that accept 230 V control signals.
The thermostat offers clear temperature readout on an LCD, intuitive setpoint control and a compact design that fits standard wall mounting. Its digital electronics ensure stable on/off switching, reducing temperature swings compared with manual control. Basic programmability allows different temperature settings for periods of use, while the 230 V switching output removes the need for an external relay in compatible systems.
Mount the thermostat on an interior wall away from direct sunlight, drafts and heat sources for accurate ambient temperature measurement. Connect the supply and load wiring according to the system wiring diagram, ensuring the 230 V mains is isolated during installation. Set the desired temperature using the front-panel controls and configure basic program periods if required. After power-up the LCD will display the setpoint and current room temperature; the thermostat will switch the 230 V output on or off to maintain the set temperature.
For reliable operation, install the thermostat at a height of about 1.5 m and avoid placing it near windows, radiators or ventilation outlets. Verify that the controlled device (boiler, heater or valve actuator) is compatible with direct 230 V switching. Where higher load currents are present or wiring distances are long, use appropriate contactors or relays sized for the load. Perform electrical connections in accordance with local regulations and, if unsure, consult a qualified electrician.
