Auger Drill Bit for Wood Keltin 42 mm with 3 Adapters (set) – K02397
Keltin auger drill bit for wood, 42 mm diameter, is engineered for efficient drilling and splitting of timber. This set includes the 42 mm helical bit and three adapters to ensure compatibility with a variety of power drills, auger drivers and extension shafts. The bit’s geometry is designed to produce clean, deep holes in logs, beams and planks, making it suitable for joinery, fencepost preparation and other woodworking tasks that require precise round holes for dowels, anchors or fasteners.
The 42 mm auger bit features a helical flute profile that removes chips effectively and reduces clogging during deep drilling. Hardened cutting edges and a centring tip provide accurate starts and consistent hole diameters. Supplied adapters increase versatility by allowing the same bit to be used with different chucks, drive types and extensions. The robust construction supports repeated use in soft and medium-density hardwoods and softwoods when used with appropriate drilling speed and torque.
Fit the appropriate adapter to match your drill or auger driver, then secure the auger bit in the chuck or drive coupling. Position the centring tip on the marked drilling point and apply steady axial pressure while running the drill at a speed appropriate for the timber density. Allow the helical flutes to clear chips periodically when drilling deep holes; withdraw slightly if chips build up. After use, clean wood debris from the flutes and inspect the cutting edges for wear.
Use moderate drill speed and sufficient torque to avoid bending the bit; in hard or knotty wood, reduce speed and increase feed pressure gradually. Wear eye protection and follow safe drilling practices. Store the bit set in a dry place and remove chips and sap after each use to maintain performance.
