Lens Filter Kenko MC/UV 37mm - UV multi-coated optical protection (223794)
Kenko MC/UV 37mm is a multi-coated ultraviolet (UV) filter designed to screw onto lenses with a 37 mm front thread. It reduces UV haze and helps preserve natural color balance while providing a physical barrier that protects the front element from dust, fingerprints, light scratches and moisture. The slim profile and multi-coating maintain image quality and minimize reflections, making this filter suitable for compact and mirrorless lens setups that accept 37 mm filters.
The multi-coated glass reduces unwanted UV light and lowers the risk of lens flare and ghosting caused by surface reflections. The filter offers straightforward mechanical protection for the front element without altering focal length or exposure, and its lightweight construction is compatible with small, portable camera systems. The screw-in mount provides secure attachment and easy removal for cleaning or swapping filters.
Attach the filter by gently screwing it into the lens's 37 mm front thread until it is snug; avoid overtightening. Use the filter as a permanently mounted protector during general shooting or as needed to reduce UV haze in bright outdoor conditions. To clean, remove the filter from the lens and wipe the glass with a blower, soft brush or microfiber cloth; use appropriate lens cleaning fluid only if necessary. Reattach the filter by aligning threads and turning until secure.
For best optical results, keep the filter clean and store it in a protective case when not in use. When shooting in demanding light conditions, check for reflections or vignetting on wide-angle lenses and remove the filter if any degradation of image quality is observed.
