Kenko MC/UV 52mm Camera Lens Filter — Multi-Coated UV Protection
Kenko MC/UV 52mm Camera Lens Filter — Multi-Coated UV Protection
Kenko MC/UV 52mm is a multi-coated ultraviolet (UV) filter designed to fit lenses with a 52mm front thread. It reduces UV haze and atmospheric scattering while leaving color balance unchanged, and also serves as a protective barrier for the front element against dust, light scratches and moisture. The multi-coating minimizes reflections and flare, preserving image contrast and sharpness in landscape and outdoor photography or whenever a simple, reliable filter is preferred for everyday shooting.
The multi-coating improves light transmission and reduces ghosting and flare, helping to maintain natural colors and contrast. As a clear UV filter it provides constant physical protection to the lens surface without affecting exposure settings or color rendition. The slim metal frame is compatible with many lens hoods and reduces the risk of vignetting on wide-angle lenses. The filter is lightweight and easy to attach or remove using the standard 52mm screw thread.
Screw the Kenko MC/UV 52mm filter onto the lens front by aligning the filter thread with the lens thread and turning clockwise until snug; avoid overtightening. The filter can remain on the lens during regular shooting and does not require exposure compensation. For cleaning, remove the filter from the lens if necessary and use a blower, a soft brush, or lens cleaning cloth with appropriate solution to remove smudges or dust. Store the filter in its protective case when not in use to prevent scratches on the glass.
Use this filter as a permanent protective element on lenses with a 52mm thread, especially in environments with dust, sand or light moisture. For optimal image quality, keep the multi-coated surfaces clean and avoid stacking multiple filters when possible to reduce the chance of additional reflections.
