Variable neutral density camera filter K&F Concept Nano-X 37 mm
Variable neutral density camera filter K&F Concept Nano-X 37 mm
ND filters (neutral density) reduce the amount of light entering the lens, making it easier to use longer exposures or wider apertures to achieve effects such as motion blur or a shallower depth of field. This variable ND filter supports 3–7 stops of light reduction and is designed to preserve image quality while allowing greater creative control over exposure.
The filter features double-sided multilayer green coating on both surfaces to reduce reflections from the scene and the filter itself, and double-sided polishing to balance light transmission and maintain high-definition images. Advanced coating technology provides hydrophobic and scratch-resistant properties so water and dirt bead off the surface rather than smearing, and the glass resists abrasion in challenging outdoor conditions. Built with technology to minimize the "X" pattern commonly seen on some variable ND filters when used with wide-angle lenses.
Attach the filter to the front of the lens using the appropriate thread size. Rotate the adjustable ring to set the desired amount of light reduction between 3 and 7 stops while monitoring exposure or using the camera's histogram. For long exposures or wider apertures, check the image for any residual artifacts at extreme settings and adjust composition or focal length if necessary to avoid vignetting or the rare appearance of cross patterns.
Clean the filter with a soft microfiber cloth and, if needed, a few drops of lens cleaner to maintain the hydrophobic coating. Store the filter in its protective case when not in use. When shooting wide-angle, verify results at different rotations to ensure minimal cross pattern and optimal image quality.
