Lens Mount Adapter K&F Concept — Leica M to Nikon Z (KF4294)
Lens Mount Adapter K&F Concept — Leica M to Nikon Z (KF4294)
The K&F Concept Lens Mount Adapter for Leica M to Nikon Z enables the use of Leica M rangefinder lenses on Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras. This mechanical adapter provides a precise flange distance conversion so that manual-focus rangefinder glass can be mounted securely on modern Z-series bodies while retaining manual aperture control and optical characteristics of the original lens. It is intended for photographers who want to combine classic Leica M optics with the electronic and handling features of Nikon Z cameras for portrait, street and creative manual-focus photography.
The adapter maintains correct flange focal distance and solid mechanical connection between Leica M lenses and Nikon Z bodies, enabling accurate focus across the focusing range when used with appropriate focusing techniques. Its metal construction is designed for durability and stable mounting, and the mechanical design preserves 100% manual control of focus and aperture from the lens. The adapter does not introduce optical elements, so lens rendering and image quality are preserved without additional aberrations.
Attach the adapter to the Nikon Z camera by aligning the adapter index with the camera mount and rotating until it locks into place. Then mount the Leica M lens onto the adapter by aligning the lens bayonet and turning until secure. Set the camera to allow shooting with non-CPU lenses if required in camera menus, and use manual focus and aperture settings on the lens. Metering and exposure modes may be limited depending on camera settings; adjust exposure manually or use available metering options on the body. For accurate focus, use focus peaking, magnified view, or live-view enlargement when available on the Nikon Z camera.
To achieve best results, ensure the adapter and lens contacts are clean and free from dust before mounting. When composing and focusing manually, use live-view magnification or focus peaking on the Nikon Z body for improved accuracy. Be aware that autofocus and electronic aperture control are not supported; allow for manual exposure control and verify that the camera firmware settings permit operation with passive adapters.
