Lens Mount Adapter K&F Kf06.440 for Sony E / NEX to Minolta MD
Lens Mount Adapter K&F Kf06.440 for Sony E / NEX to Minolta MD
The K&F Kf06.440 lens mount adapter enables the physical mounting of Minolta MD manual-focus lenses onto Sony E (NEX) mirrorless camera bodies. The adapter provides a secure mechanical connection and correct flange focal distance for accurate focusing at infinity when using legacy Minolta MD optics on Sony E-mount cameras. There is no electronic communication between lens and camera, so aperture and focus are controlled directly on the lens.
This adapter offers a robust metal construction and precise machining to ensure stable lens alignment and repeatable positioning. Its simple, screw-in design keeps the optical axis concentric and maintains the correct register distance for sharp focus. By preserving manual aperture control and mechanical linkage, the adapter supports the use of a wide range of vintage Minolta lenses without modifying the lens or camera.
Attach the adapter to the camera body by aligning the adapter's mount index with the camera's mount and turning until it locks. Align the Minolta MD lens with the adapter bayonet and rotate the lens until it engages and secures. Set the lens to the desired aperture and focus manually using the lens rings; exposure metering will work depending on your camera's metering modes and whether it supports stop-down metering. To remove, press the camera's lens release and rotate the adapter or lens away from the mount.
Use the adapter on a stable tripod or with steady handholding when working at long focal lengths or slow shutter speeds, and check focus carefully in live view or focus magnification to achieve critical sharpness when using manual lenses.
